Matt Smith will join the Pass to Paradise team on Sunday- two weeks after congratulating Steven Gerrard on winning the SPFL title.
At the start of this season Celtic had Rory Hamilton and Michael Stewart providing high quality coverage before resorting to the more home-made ‘charm’ of Peter Martin and Gerry McCulloch talking up every disappointing performance.
Smith has been a regular face on ITV and BT Sport over the last 20 years during which he covered the Golden Generation of English football which never seemed to make it past the quarter-finals or a penalty shoot-out at major competitions.
We are delighted to announce that Matt Smith will be joining us to host this weekend’s coverage of the Glasgow Derby on the @CelticFCPass.
We look forward to welcoming Matt to Celtic Park and once again we are urging all Celtic supporters to #StaySafe and #StayHome for the game.

Rather than provide Stevie Gee fan Smith with a nice commission there are plenty of former Celtic players out there whose thoughts on the Derby and the season to date would be more insightful than Smith.
Stan Petrov and John Collins have both provided thoughtful analysis of matches this season but for reasons best known to themselves Celtic want to bring n a neutral to share his expertise with Season Ticket holders still waiting to find out what additional value they are getting.
Congrats to SG & Rangers. If a week is a long time in football, 10 years must feel like a lifetime.
