Nathan Patterson and his Covidiot Ibrox team-mates go before the SFA today to explain their breaches of football protocols.

Five Ibrox stars were issued with Fixed Penalties by Police Scotland in the early hours of February 14 but the SFA have been very slow to administer justice.

Back in August Celtic had two matches postponed two days after Boli Bolingoli’s trip to Spain came to light.

News of the breach emerged on August 9, on August 28 he was given a five match ban which highlights the incredibly slow timetable that that SFA have worked on with the Ibrox Covidiots. James Tavernier has a sore leg.

The SFA website reveals:

Alleged Parties in Breach: Calvin Bassey, Brian Kinnear, Dapo Mebude, Nathan Patterson, Bongani Zungu (Rangers FC)

Date: 13/14 February 2021

Disciplinary Rules allegedly breached:

Disciplinary Rule 24 – A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall be subject to and shall comply with the Articles, the Laws of the Game and the rules, procedures and regulations, bye-laws and Decisions of the Scottish FA.

Disciplinary Rule 77 – A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football. Furthermore such person or body shall not act in any manner which is improper or use any one, or a combination of, violent Conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.

Back in November Jordan Jones and George Edmundson were issued with Fixed Penalties in the early hours of November 2, the day after Scott Arfield celebrated his 32nd birthday. On November 19 they were handed seven match suspensions.

Since Tavernier got a sore leg Patterson has been a regular in Steven Gerrard’s starting XI.
