Aberdeen have announced the signing of Scott Brown on a two year contract- with the news confirmed by Celtic is a simultaneous announcement.
It is the third major departure from Celtic in less than two months as the most successful domestic era in history is firmly broken up.
Peter Lawwell was first to announce he was off with a June 30 retirement, that was soon followed by Neil Lennon’s resignation with the skipper joining the exodus this afternoon.

Brown move to Aberdeen has been speculated on for a week and moved a huge step closer on Tuesday when Stephen Glass was confirmed as Derek McInnes’ replacement a manager.
Glass and Brown played together at Hibs and will team up again at Pittodrie next season.
Brown has picked up 22 major honours in 14 seasons at Celtic but will now move on to another challenge although he could face Aberdeen in a Scottish Cup tie as well as an SPFL visit to Pittodrie.
