Celtic fans were sceptical as the club surprised them with their ‘not half of anything’ tweet.
The move came as Celtic were lumped in with the weekend law-breakers from Ibrox that have dominated politics and the news over the last few days.
No Celtic fans were in George Square denying Lockdown but the club was twice mentioned in Parliament today by the First Minister and extensively referenced in a letter from Ibrox chairman Douglas Park. Celtic have a contract with Park for the supply of all domestic travel.
For years, without directly mentioning it, Celtic have seemed more than happy to be part of the Old Firm. The phrase was rarely mentioned by the club but their media partners liked nothing better than lumping two clubs together and stirring up a yarn or controversy.
Tonight, something may have triggered inside Celtic, it could be a new broom arriving in the shape of in-coming CEO but tonight’s tweet was a real surprise to most fans.
What happens next is the big question. Will the club follow up the tweet with actions or as some of the cynical have suggested simply the first step in trying to convince fans to renew Season Tickets for next season?

Talk is cheap.
Show us you are a progressive, modern club by making appointments demonstrating an intent to leave ALL the other clubs in Scotland in our wake and make serious attempts at advancement in Europe.
This will mean not appointing an ex Celtic Player as manager or DOF.— The Huddleboard (@huddleboard) March 9, 2021
Finally some fire, Bravo HH

I don’t care if it was an apprentice working in the media office, whoever tweeted that should take the team next Sunday.

The intent is good but it should be more direct and it should be from Lawwell or Bankier delivered straight to @NicolaSturgeon door

Disgraceful that a single penny goes to Park’s. Cut the relationship now

All forms of Celtic media are normally pretty reserved about what is put out to the public so either someone has gone rogue and will be sacked or someone else is finally sick of the “two sides of the same coin” argument. I hope it’s the latter.
