Celtic Season Ticket holders will miss out on any easing of Lockdown rules that will allow fans to return to matches this season.

A report in the Daily Record highlights when fans may be allowed to return in very limited numbers but nothing will change before May 12- the date of Celtic’s last home match of the season against St Johnstone.

Scotland will move into Level Two on May 17 which is two days after Celtic’s final SPFL match- away to Hibs at Easter Road.

It is a very big if, but if Celtic reach the Scottish Cup Final there is the prospect of the match being moved from Hampden on May 22. UEFA has ruled that no fans can attend matches inside Hampden in the month before the European Championships begin.

The Record report mentions 2,000 fans being able to attend each leg of the Premiership Play-Off.

A similar number at a Scottish Cup Final would become a nightmare for competing clubs to deal with, once the families of players and coaching staff are dealt with corporate customers would expect to be ahead of Season Ticket holders in the biggest scramble ever.

There could then be a further cut only open to the vaccinated over 50s which won’t go down well with the Young Team.

7 March 2020 was the last time that fans attended a match inside Celtic Park.
