Diego Laxalt has sent a heart-warming video message to a young Celtic fan in hospital.
Due to Lockdown the usual bonds between players and fans hasn’t been possible but in his message the on-loan defender issues a genuine good-luck message to Cory and the offer of a game of Fortnite following recovery.
The connection between supporters and players has always been a big part of Celtic but with the day-to-day dealings switched to Lennoxtown those bonds have lessened over the last 15 years.

Laxalt has yet to play in front of the Celtic support, an issue that can’t be totally dismissed from a season of misery and frustrations.
Derby matches, European nights, cup finals and semis have all been played out in front of silent stadiums with fans left to look on from home and connect more than ever through Social Media.
Laxalt’s performances have been in line with the team this season but the video clip shows him in a different light- the Uruguayan on loan from an Italian team in Scotland making the effort to reach out to a young fan in hospital.
