Celtic’s Social Media team earned some rare plaudits today as they shared some footage from training at Lennoxtown today.
Tom Rogic rarely scores goals that are less than spectacular with another classic strike today that made some of his team-mates just stand back and shake their heads. The Australian makes the incredible look run of the mill with today’s effort no exception.
Sadly, those moments have become increasingly rare- 2016-2018 was vintage Rogic as he played regularly with a brilliant combination of big-match and spectacular goals.
Hampden and Ibrox seemed to be favoured venues for the £500,000 signing from Central Coast Mariners in January 2013.
This season Rogic has managed just two goals- one in the San Siro against AC Milan and the other in Paisley against St Mirren.
At 28 years of age the Australian should be at his peak but as recently as last summer Celtic accepted a bid from Qatar that the player turned down when it seemed his days in Scotland were over.
With a new manager scheduled to come in there may be more to come from Rogic, today’s training ground strike suggests that there is still plenty in the tank of Celtic’s Wizard.
