Luca Connell was on target for Queens Park last night as the League Two champions beat Edinburgh City 2-0.
Ray McKinnon’s side had stumbled a little after clinching the title but got back to winning ways last night with their loan Celt scoring in the 59th minute.
It was Connell’s second goal in nine outings since he went out on loan, exactly the type of experience that he was needing even though the standard of opposition that he is facing won’t be too demanding.

Celtic signed Connell in the summer of 2019 from Bolton but next to nothing has been seen of the creative midfielder who made a dozen appearances in the Championship as Bolton’s financial troubles took hold.
There should be openings in the Celtic midfield next season with Scott Brown on his way to Aberdeen and doubts over the future of Ryan Christie and Olivier Ntcham.
Connell will be something of an unknown quantity to whoever comes in as manager with the big decision being whether he can be part of the Celtic squad or would be better off out on loan at another Premiership side.
Celtic also have midfielders Ewan Henderson, Kerr McInroy and Scott Robertson currently out on loan.
