John Kennedy has dropped a strong hint that he may change Celtic’s strike option at Ibrox on Sunday.

Odsonne Edouard has started all seven matches that Kennedy has been in charge of with Patryk Klimala alongside him in the opening match against Aberdeen and Moi Elyounoussi playing close by a couple of times.

Edouard hasn’t scored since he netted with a deflected effort against the Dons on February 27 with Leigh Griffiths coming off the bench to head a last gasp equaliser at Pittodrie in Celtic’s last outing.

Celtic have managed just one goal in four Derby matches this season with Kennedy looking to remedy that in the final clash of the season between the two clubs when they meet on Sunday.

It was good to see Griffiths in that moment (at Aberdeen), late in the game. That’s where he’s at his best, in and around the box. Odsonne is still our top goalscorer. He’s maybe not hit the levels he has in other seasons but he’s still a very important player for us. We’ve got Albian there as well.

They’ve all trained well this week. It certainly gives you food for thought when a striker scores. We’ll just have to decide in the next day or so what’s the best mix for this game.

James Forrest missed the Ibrox Scottish Cup tie through injury but is available for Sunday as is Kris Ajer who missed the draw at Aberdeen due to a shoulder injury.
