Leigh Griffiths is ready to start his first Celtic match since January when the hoops take on Falkirk in the Scottish Cup.

After three international matches in seven days and returning to Scotland on Friday Odsonne Edouard will be rested, giving Griffiths a chance to impress.

The former Hibs striker has been restricted to very brief run outs off the bench against Dundee United and in the Glasgow Derby but now gets a rare start.

Griffiths was left out of the Scotland squad for the recent World Cup qualifiers and faces a real battle to get back into favour with Steve Clarke.

Che Adams and Kevin Nisbet made their debuts over the last 10 days with time running out on Griffiths who must become a starter at Celtic if he is to make Clarke’s squad for the European Championships.
