Jack Hendry’s remarkable season continued last night with Oostende winning 2-1 away to Beerschot to maintain fifth place in the Jupiler Pro-League.
It was a Celtic-like Late Late Show as two goals in the last 10 minutes from Marco Kvasina and Jelle Bataille delivered an away win.

Since getting into the side at the start of October Hendry has made 25 appearances as the traditional strugglers kick on and push for a place in European football next season.
The 25-year-old is under contract with Celtic until June 2022 but it seems that the loan agreement gave Oostende the right to sign Hendry for a fee believed to be around £1.75m.
With clubs in England apparently keen to sign the defender Oostende could turn around a very quick profit but that will all be dependent on Hendry agreeing to the switch.
In the summer of 2020 Hendry seemed to have dropped down to fifth or sixth choice central defender at Celtic but after the recent internationals he seems certain to be part of the Scotland squad at the European Championships in June.
