Enzo Maresca is leaving Manchester City and is strongly tipped to become the new manager of Parma who have just been relegated from Serie A.
The highly rated Manchester City u-23 coach has been linked with the Celtic vacancy but that seems to have been mainly related to interest in Fergal Harkin as Director of Football.
Marseca has never been a first team manager on his own right which would have represented a major risk to Celtic if they had gone down that route.

The 41-year-old was assistant manager at Ascoli, Sevilla and West Ham before moving to Manchester City but the move to Parma in his native Italy will be his first experience as the boss.
Harkin was linked with a Director of Football/Sporting Director role at Celtic but that interest appears to have cooled off since Eddie Howe became first choice as manager.
The former Bournemouth boss is closely linked with Richard Hughes but three months after Neil Lennon resigned supporters are still trying to join the dots to see what direction Celtic are moving in for a successor to the former Hibs and Bolton manager.
