On Wednesday night an era comes to an end at Celtic as Scott Brown leaves Celtic Park for the last time in a green and white shirt.
Fourteen years that have garnered 22 winners’ medals will come to an end when the final whistle blows against St Johnstone. Appropriately his final match will be at Easter Road on Saturday, the ground where he cut his teeth before earning a £4.4m move to Celtic.
Sadly, it is more than a year since Broony heard the appreciation of the Celtic support but any visit to Social Media will leave him in no doubt about the esteem he is held in.

All good things come to an end however with the question for Celtic being over who takes Brown’s place in the team and the captaincy.
As the Fifer heads off to Aberdeen a massive period of turmoil begins at Celtic. Broony will be gone with only a couple of Wednesday’s side likely to be in next season’s Starting XI.
