It’s not everyday that the departure of a physio generates a pocket of interest 500 miles away.

Jonny King discovered that yesterday as he tweeted what would normally have been a run of the mill message to Bournemouth fans that after seven seasons their first team physio was ‘looking forward to the next adventure’.

That phrase was quickly picked up on by Celtic fans who’ve been scanning everything for three months for clues over who will be Neil Lennon’s successor.

Former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has been the favourite for the job for around two months without too much to back up that view other than one report that he had met with Dermot Desmond and Dom McKay.

The most plausible reason for the delay has been securing Howe’s backroom staff with Bournemouth heavily involved in the EPL Play Off’s- until Saturday’s 3-1 defeat from Brentford.

There seems to be no obvious obstacles to delaying the Howe announcement that Celtic fans have been waiting for as the reaction to King’s tweet demonstrated.
