Three weeks after his appointment the days of reckoning is fast approaching for Ange Postecoglou.
A Zoom interview from Tokyo followed, last week he was pictured in London with Dom McKay with the new Celtic boss now in place at Lennoxtown and speaking to the club’s in-house media.
On July 7 his side will play Sheffield Wednesday, on July 20 it gets competitive with Midtjylland in the Champions League with Celtic fans curious to see the substance in their new leader.
Over the last 12 months Social Media comment was increasingly confrontational with Neil Lennon, fans were alarmed from early in the season while the message from within was ‘trust us’ but it didn’t work out well. Far from it.
Postecoglou has to pick the pieces with time against him. A massive rebuilding job is required but the only obvious changes at the club are in the manager’s seat and in the handover to McKay.
Managers live or die by results. It’s not through media conferences that prizes are won with judgement day fast approaching for Celtic’s new boss.
I get the feeling he has a fairly low tolerance level for this type of fluffy social media serving questioning. A nice ability to combust, always just below the surface. Works for me.

Let the man bring in his own staff and his own players now, can’t expect him to change things with one hand tied behind his back
