Celtic have been credited with an interest in Rob Atkinson.
The 22-year-old central defender was a regular in the Oxford United side that reached the League One Play-off before losing out to Blackpool on a 6-3 aggregate.
Atkinson has had a cosmopolitan start to his career, growing up in France he joined Cannes before crossing the Channel to join Fulham.
Spells at Braintree and Eastleigh were followed by a move to Oxford in January 2020 where he signed a three year contract. Half way through that deal his value is likely to be at a high with Bristol City appearing to be keen to lift him up a division.

With Kris Ajer likely to be sold and Chris Jullien recovering from knee surgery central defence is a key area that Celtic need to strengthen with their Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland just a month away.
Over the last two years Celtic’s scouting efforts have concentrated on the English market with Luca Connell, Jeremie Frimpong, Lee O’Connor, Jonathan Afolabi and Joey Dawson all being signed up.
