Gary Lineker might be one of the good guys of Twitter but that didn’t spare him from the anger of Calvin Miller.
As the former England striker drooled over the perfectly placed header from Patrick Schick that opened the scoring at Hampden for the Czech Republic Miller popped up with the perfect reply.
On the pitch and in front of the TV cameras Lineker is the perfect professional but back in 1990 in front of the eyes of the world he found himself in a spot of bother.
Playing against Ireland at the 1990 World Cup Finals the England striker was dumped onto the deck when something very personal and unfortunate happened.
It wasn’t picked up at the time but Lineker later confessed to it with Miller, not yet born at the time quick to pounce during the half-time break at Hampden.
