Celtic fans gave a mildly optimistic welcome to news that Dom McKay has met up with Ange Postecoglou in London.
The new Celtic boss appears to have completed quarantine regulations laid down by the UK Government although there may be further period self-isolation needed before he can move to Scotland.
The picture of the two men was more of a statement as a new era begins at Celtic with Postecoglou and McKay charged with making something from the wreckage left by Peter Lawwell and Neil Lennon.
No new players have been added to the squad with most fans expecting a massive rebuilding job requiring at least six first team ready signings.
Other than two in-house video interviews Postecoglou has still to meet the media to be questioned on his plans for the new season.
After three pre-season matches in Wales and a home game against Preston the new boss goes in at the deep end with a Champions League qualifier at home to Midtjylland on July 20.
