During his playing time in Scotland Erik Paartalu never pulled up many trees or created much in the way of headlines.

Eleven years after leaving Morton on a journey that includes spells in China, Thailand, India and Qatar the midfielder has been explaining his view that Ange Postecoglou could be bound for the EPL after a stop-over at Celtic.

According to Paartalu, who played under Postecoglou at Brisbane Roar, it is inevitable that the new Celtic manager will be managing in one of the top leagues within a couple of years.

Postecoglou is becoming more of a novelty with every passing day as an incredible picture of created of a top, top manager that is coming to Europe at the age of 55, more than a decade after a brief spell managing in the Greek Third Division.

Many Celtic fans are sceptical about the sudden switch in direction from Eddie Howe to Postecoglou, part of the City Football Group arriving in Scotland with no sign of any new coaches joining him at Celtic.

Should be follow the Rodgers Route to the EPL the Celtic board will be due great credit for their leap of faith, before the transfer window closes the new boss will be judged by the performances of his side in UEFA qualifiers and a trip across the city to Ibrox.
