Celtic fans won’t be able to attend the Champions League Second Round qualifier away to Midtjylland on July 27/28.

Fans will be allowed to attend the home leg a week earlier but UEFA has decided that no away supporters will be allowed to attend any qualifying ties.

During the European Championships there have been supporters of both teams at all matches, often played in neutral countries but as football edges out of Lockdown no international travel for fans will be permitted.

Larne face a qualifier in Wales but have warned their fans that they won’t be permitted to attend the away match against Bala Town.

We remind you that in case UEFA matches are staged with spectators all clubs must respect the UEFA Minimum Health & Hygiene Requirements for the Return of Spectators v2.

The decision on the number of permitted spectators falls under the responsibility of the relevant competent local/national authorities. Please note that in view of the ongoing travel restrictions and in order to minimise related risks, the UEFA Executive Committee decided as well to not allow visiting fans to attend UEFA club competition matches and not to apply the 5% rule for visiting supporters for all 2021/22 qualifying phase and play-offs matches. No spectators are allowed for matches played in neutral venues.

There were no Celtic fans at any of the five European away ties last season with Copenhagen in February 2019 the last time supporters were allowed to attend an away tie in a UEFA competition.

Some Celtic Season Ticket holders should be able to attend the home leg against Midtjylland but the numbers allowed will be dependent on the Scottish Government.
