Celtic’s capacity to shoot themselves in the foot continued today with the launch of My Celtic Matchday.
The purpose of the scheme is to find which Season Ticket holders want to attend matches in person!
After a horrendous season spent watching Gerry McCulloch fronting things up on a poor quality stream it really should be assumed that the faithful who have renewed Season Tickets are very keen to return to Celtic Park and watch the team after a 15 month break.
Fans are returning to sporting events, 12,000 tickets were issued for Scotland against the Czech Republic at Hampden yesterday. Wembley will host 45,000 crowds during the European Championships, there will be full houses at Wimbledon to watch the two main finals.
While other clubs have gone out of their way to communicate with supporters, assist them where they can and make them feel wanted it seems like some sort of reverse policy is in place at Celtic.
From the ‘added value’ on the 2020/21 Season Ticket through to a statement about not getting Eddie Howe as manager next to nothing positive has come out of the club in the next 12 months.
With much of the country paid in the final day or two of the month whoever decided on a June 25 cut off date for Season Ticket renewals should be given a course in the real world to see how supporters get by, budgeting and judging where Celtic fit in with their other priorities.
? Supporters who wish to attend reduced capacity matches must register for My Celtic Matchday, which will help us to understand the desired requirements for each Season Ticket holder.

Renewing your book for £600 is surely a big indication that we would like to go to games

So fill out your renewal and pay and then fill out another form to say we actually want to use our ticket. I don’t know how good you think your stream is but it’s no £600 worth good. Obv we want in to the games.

Alright Celtic? You would think the fact I gave you £550 last week was inclination enough that I want to attend games surely?

Renewing your season ticket should surely mean you’re automatically registering a desire to go to games. ?????
What’s going on? If there’s a wrong way to do something you can put your house on it you’ll do it.

You’re asking if people who have paid hundreds of pounds want to be able to get into the stadium to watch the matches and not just watch them on the TV in their living room?? That right??

Not letting me or my son register even though we have renewed ? pic.twitter.com/WhY8GSKF2B

This to me is going to give more strength in proving the disconnect between fans and the board is getting wider. Who is coming up with these ridiculous ideas. Who has ever bought a ticket for a concert or a cinema ticket or the theatre because they didnt want to attend.
