Steven Gerrard has killed stone dead reports that other clubs are interested in his star players.

Since moving to Ibrox in May 2018 Gerrard has brought in close to 50 signings but has been unable to interest any other clubs in his own damaged goods.

Josh Windass was sold to Wigan for £1.8m with Daniel Candeias going to Turkey for half that figure but no one has wanted to touch any of Gerrard’s signings despite a 24/7 campaign claiming that offers are on the way.

Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara, Borma Barasic, Filip Helander and Alfredo Morelos have all been linked with moves elsewhere without a bid ever being made.

Porto are apparently keeping tabs on Morelos, a dozen different versions of the story have been conjured up but on the eve of the new season Gerrard confirmed that not a single bid has been made for any of last season’s squad.

9 minutes 30 seconds:

At the moment we haven’t had one single bid for any of our players besides George Edmondson, and we accepted that bid. There’s a couple of things brewing in the background but none for the big players that have been mentioned in terms of the speculation over the last few days.

Edmundson joined Ipswich Town, who are managed by Gerrard’s long term buddy Paul Cook for an undisclosed fee.

Jordan Jones, Brandon Barker, Glenn Middleton and Jake Hastie may attract token offers but they won’t be bringing in Dembele Dollars or Ajer Millions.
