After three years in Japan Ange Postecoglou has landed in Glasgow, settling in to a unique cuisine.

The Greek Australian will get around to sampling Scottish sea-food, perhaps he might enjoy Aberdeen Angus steak or maybe ice-cream from one of the famous Italian names to be found in Scotland.

At the lower end of the culinary market it is fair to say that Scottish scran has an unwanted reputation, a visit to any chippy will reveal that almost any food stuff can be covered in batter, fried and served up with chips. Supper.

Na, funnily enough today there was Black Pudding, I just walked straight past it to be fair. I couldn’t handle it, not for me. I mean I’m usually not too bad, I’ve lived in different countries with the family, I’ve tried a few things, yeah but not yet. I will stick to the basics.

Hopefully the Black Pudding experience was far from the canteen at Lennoxtown.

Postecoglou has been pictured in and around Glasgow on social media but whatever happens at Ibrox on Sunday he’s likely to keep a low profile over the next few days.

Discovering Scottish cuisine will need to go onto the back burner as the transfer window closes and his attention turns to the visit of Ross County in two week’s time with Celtic fans looking for another 6-0 scoreline.
