Chris Sutton opted for the glass half full approach as Celtic won their first competitive match under Ange Postecoglou.

Four games into the new regime a 4-2 win away to Jablonec of the Czech Republic seems a decent result, certainly in comparison to last season’s 4-1 defeats from Sparta who finished the season one point above Jablonec in the Czech league table.

Postecoglou was bold with his selection and was rewarded when the front men of Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi and James Forrest found the net.

Unfortunately, at a slightly slower rate the Celtic defence were shipping goals in with Nir Bitton the fall guy in the eyes of many supporters.

It has become a standing joke among fans about the Israeli playing in UEFA qualifiers, after today the joke is wearing very thin with Jablonec cutting straight through the Celtic defence to score twice.

Going forward Celtic look to have found some exciting new options, unless they make similar progress in defence there could be more scorelines like this with no guarantees that it will be the hoops coming out on top.
