Sevco will take on Malmo tonight kitted out in their fetching new purple third kit, manufactured by Cas ore Sport.
The Ibrox club have been dogged by kit related problems in recent years with sponsors logos peeling off and player names being misspelled.
It seems that the club doesn’t have sufficient supply of their blue home kit for tonight’s match with the blame being shifted over to UEFA regulations.
Rangers have unveiled their new purple third kit – and announced it will be worn tonight against Malmo…
The club says that “due to the limited kit options made available by tonight’s opponents, UEFA’s regulations stipulate that Rangers must debut the kit tonight”.

Last week in Sweden the Ibrox players wore their black second kit in order to avoid a clash with the light blue shirts of Malmo.
Under UEFA rules if there is any kit clash the away team has to make alternative arrangements. Judging by the images released by the club the purple kit looks like a very close match with the light blue of Malmo.

How on earth do the home team have to change due to the away teams kits? Surely like every other team they can’t have 2 similar kits. Absolute joke!

Part of me is starting to think our support are part of a social sciences experiment, testing how subservient we are and willing to buy merch even though it’s rotten. No way someone looked at that and thought “ah, this is a good one.”

All three kits so far are flawed. Last year’s was excellent but this year..home kit missing essential red and has stripes. Not for me. Second kit would have been fine were it not for the awful gold trim. Third kit looks like they started with a good idea and ran out of time.
