Odsonne Edouard is reported to be unsure of a potential move to Brighton.
Last week some outlets were reporting that deals had been agreed between all parties with the formalities expected after Celtic’s Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland.
Edouard turned in a half-hearted display against the Danes, followed that up with a similar performance against Hearts with a move out of Celtic appearing to be no further forward.
Brighton are reported to be showing interest in Benfica striker Darwin Nunez who is rated in the £35m bracket. Edouard would cost around £20m up front with the Daily Mail reporting:
Brighton have also made an offer for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard but he is unsure over the move.
Nevertheless, Brighton are said to be stepping up their £20million pursuit of Edouard after Celtic’s Champions League qualification clash with FC Midtjylland.
With less than a year to run on his contract Celtic will be keen to sell Edouard this month, on recent performances he doesn’t look likely to make much of an impact on the goal-scoring charts.
Leigh Griffiths and Albian Ajeti don’t look likely to step in with 20-30 goals but Kyogo Furuhashi could be part of a striking solution.
