Mark McGivern has revealed that Police Scotland are investigating a consistent stream of comments over many years from the team at Heart and Hand.
Late on Thursday night the Daily Record splashed their front page with details of offensive content from the team assembled by David Edgar.
After being granted media access at Ibrox alongside traditional broadcasters Heart & Hand have stepped up with £25,000 to become media partners this season.
The small talk flows back and forward with Steven Gerrard on first name terms with Edgar who is always ready with a soft-ball question or planted deflection to take attention away from the disastrous exit from the Champions League.
Edgar has been lingering around fan-media for close to 20 years but it seems that Police Scotland has some very recent material that they might want to discuss with the favoured face of Ibrox fan-media.
It’s very important to note that the tweets being investigated by @policescotland after complaint by whistleblower are not “ten years old” as some suggest. There has been a highly consistent stream of routinely offensive speech over many years. @RangersFC has the cache of tweets pic.twitter.com/Oi2ZQxhYAc

Cammy Bell has generally referred to “tarriers” etc for many years – right up to 2020 pic.twitter.com/YK1m9MVDHL

Ian Hogg’s tweets are very difficult to reproduce – they’re often highly obscene and obsessively homophobic and misogynistic, here in 2018 pic.twitter.com/fRDJ3eFZOe

Ian Hogg also speaks recently – 2020 – about a “spazzie” pic.twitter.com/e9V1xYWZBl

It would appear @markhmcgivern thinks his tweets from 2009-19 are now no longer visible to the public.
He’s in for a shock.

The Record obviously decided to come after me, couldn’t find anything significant to get me on so went for two volunteer unpaid contributors to the podcast.
I think they forgot what the W in WATP stands for.
They’re going to find out.
