Tweet about Ibrox racism goes viral

A tweet from Kenny McKay about racism at Ibrox today has gone viral with two very different takes from the home support.

Kaiyne Woolery equalised for Motherwell in the 66th minute with McKay claiming that the racist reaction around him forced him to make an early exit from Ibrox.

Over the last 18 months, coming from England a more hardline policy has been adopted where incidents are called out with the culprits identified and punished.

Earlier this year there was a storm at Ibrox over an alleged racist comment aimed at Glen Kamara which saw the home club come out strongly against racism and taking a four day break from social media over comments about their players..

McKay played for Queens Park and Annan, in season 2013/14 he scored 14 goals in 34 matches but seems to have dropped out of senior football at the start of the 2015/16 season. His Flip The Mindset podcast covers a wide range of mental health and addiction issues, last August he did interview John Hartson about his battles with cancer and a gambling addiction.
