Scott Brown returned to the spotlight in spectacular fashion on Wednesday night. With Celtic fans enjoying the moment almost as much as their former skipper.
A week ago Aberdeen were on a run of 10 matches without a win with dark clouds gathering over Stephen Glass.
Winning against Hibs brought a temporary halt to the dire predictions but heading to Ibrox without the two regular full-backs or Declan Gallagher looked ominous with the natives filled up with emotion and anger.
Brown dropped in between David Bates and Young McCrorie but given half a chance scored with his first ever diving header at Ibrox.
The Celtic legend could hardly believe it, racing away for a Morelos type celebration with the home fans stunned except for a couple of missile throwers.
With that performance and goal in the bank things are looking up for Brown and his new team, with the fan-club he left behind watching his antics closely.
