Just before kick-off at Dens Park yesterday Celtic’s player took the knee, highlighting the Black Life Matters campaign and the on-going racism present in society and in sport.
Yorkshire County Cricket club have recently had a torch shone in their direction with skeletons falling out of numerous cupboards.
When Sparta Prague players didn’t take the knee in a recent Europa League tie BBC Scotland and others were up in arms. Some pundits were given a platform to call for Sparta to be thrown out of UEFA competitions.
Yesterday at Dens Park BBC Scotland were presented with a similar scenario, at a club with a manager that they have post match access to. They looked the other way from racism on their own patch.
Newshound reporter Kenny MacIntyre isn’t afraid to ask the difficult questions, the ones away from the kicking of a ball.
He confronted Ange Postecoglou about a handful of Celtic fans disrespecting a minute of silence pre-match, strangely Kenny Mac didn’t have the minerals to question James McPake about the booing that greeted the Celtic players when they took the knee at Dens Park.
Kenny McIntyre was disgraceful after the game asking Ange about it. Never ever would they think of asking other managers about their weekly hate tests.

They expect a minutes silence to be upheld ? ….
then uphold opposition to the weekly anti Irish and Catholic chants emitting from a section of fans at one club in particular— MacDhonnchaidh (@COLLACIOTACH) November 7, 2021
I listened to that show after our game yesterday , just total negativity , rather than talk about Ralston , Kyogo and Jota they spent most of their time slatting GG , and our ex keeper was one of the worst culprits
