Celtic are apparently a modern club with no need for upheaval with the introduction of a Director of Football or Sporting Director.
That was one of the messages to emerge from a Fans Forum headed by acting CEO Michael Nicholson.
During the course of this year long term CEO Peter Lawwell retired from his role while Head of Football Operations Nick Hammond moved on to seek ‘fresh challenges’.
Those issues have left the club seriously short of experience in the transfer market although Ange Postecoglou has been very complimentary about Nicholson’s involvement in transfer activity.
From the tone of the answers at the Fan Forum the club hierarchy are comfortable with the current structure even though a Head of Sports Scientist was only appointed last month.
On November 17 the club will hold their AGM where shareholders can ask questions of Nicholson and Chairman Ian Bankier.
