Heart & Hand have reassured trusting bears that it won’t take four months for Ross Wilson to replace Steven Gerrard.
When Pedro Caixinha was binned in November 2017 it took six months to appoint Mister Gerrard after the public humiliation of being rejected by Derek McInnes. Graeme Murty stumbled on as caretaker.
Media partners Heart & Hand have more than the ear of the Ibrox hierarchy with fans stunned by the 10am announcement that the Liverpool legend had walked away- with five key coaches to take charge of Aston Villa.
There has been silence from Ibrox since Sunday’s win over Ross County. Leak by leak came out from the Villa side, yesterday Gerrard arrived by train in London, last night he had dinner with Christian Puslow as they finalised terms on his Villa contract.
Latest word from Ibrox:
Club have always had a contingency for this happening.
Ross Wilson in control of the search.
Have a shortlist of candidates and all will be spoken to.
Obviously want it done ASAP but want the right guy. We won’t be strung along for 4 months like some.— Heart & Hand Podcast (@ibroxrocks) November 11, 2021
And it’s over. He undoubtedly did a superb job in turning us around and I’ll always be grateful for that even if the timing rankles.
He’s the past now. It’s time to focus on the future. https://t.co/DixyTecmYi

It seems that nothing has been left behind at Ibrox, Sporting Director Ross Wilson has to find a manager prepared to work with a tired, under performing squad of players knowing that there is a fire sale coming in January- if he can finally find a club willing to pay money for Gerrard’s squad.
Don’t panic Mr. mannering, young Baz Ferguson will be over the top to relieve us soon,
Now Now diddums, Lets go, will be back next week with a £50 million bid for More or less and all will be forgotten.
League is ours for the taking, Slainte Joe
