Chris Sutton teased Ally McCoist over the possible loss of three more key members of the Ibrox title challenge.
After a few days in denial McCoist’s worst fears were confirmed at 10am on Thursday when Mister Gerrard was starring on Aston Villa’s social media platforms as the replacement for Dean Smith.
Not only were Villa gaining a new manager, they were also getting a whole new coaching team with just goalkeeping coach Colin Stewart left at Ibrox to keep Jimmy Bell company.
But could things get any worse?

Bobby Madden, John Beaton and Donald Robertson have all been prominent in Gerrard’s recent fixtures, rarely did the departing Ibrox boss complain about honest mistakes going against his side.
This weekend the Ibrox hierarchy will be attempting to recruit Gerrard’s successor, unfortunately a return to the dug-out isn’t likely for McCoist due to his deals with BT Sport, Sky Sports and TalkSPORT.
