Ange Postecoglou has kept the door open for Kyogo Furuhashi in his cup final team to face Hibs on Sunday.
The striker was substituted in the 71st minute of last Thursday’s Europa League win over Real Betis with his fitness level the subject of intense debate ever since.
Kyogo missed Sunday’s 1-0 home win over Motherwell but his hamstring injury is being monitored daily with no-one appearing to write off a Hampden appearance just 10 days after he was replaced against Real Betis.

Could Kyogo make League Cup final?

He’s not far off, it just depends, it’s a day to day thing. If he is ready to go we will play him, if he’s not then we’ll look to the following game. I’d expect him to be back at some point over the next week or so from the way that he’s improving at the moment but again, as always with these things you are kind of relying on everything running smoothly and it doesn’t always go that way. If he has a set-back that might put him back a bit further. Him and the medical team are working hard and we’ll see what happens.
Celtic played without a recognised striker against Motherwell and look like facing Ross County tomorrow night with a similar line-up.
David Turnbull played in a fairly advanced midfield role but it would be a stretch to claim that he was fulfilling the striker role against his old club.
Tom Rogic was Sunday’s match-winner with a goal in stoppage time with the Australian likely to be carrying the main threat tomorrow night in Dingwall.
