Giorgos Giakoumakis has taken to Instagram but to promote new football boots rather than announce a timely comeback.
The striker hasn’t appeared in a Celtic shirt since making a 30 minute appearance as a substitute against Dundee on November 7 during which he picked up a knee injury.
An international break followed the trip to Dens Park, with Celtic in the middle of their busiest spell of the season updates on Giakoumakis are thin on the ground.

Last Thursday Albian Ajeti and Kyogo Furuhashi were injured during the Europa League win over Real Betis, in the matches since David Turnbull and Liel Abada have improvised in the striker role.
Having only started two matches this season and with no football played in the last five weeks it seems unlikely that Giakoumakis will feature in any of the five matches Celtic have to play before the winter break.
With Daizen Maeda rumoured to be on his way to Celtic next month Ange Postecoglou will be hoping for real competition for the striker role as he gets to put another marker down on his Celtic squad.
