Ange Postecoglou has made six changes to the Celtic side that won the League Cup for tonight’s match away to St Mirren.
Owen Moffat starts his first top team match with Joe Hart and Kyogo Furuhashi dropping completely out of the matchday squad fro Hampden.
Celtic’s midfield is recognisable but Scott Bain plays in his first SPFL match since the opening fixture in July with Tony Ralston and Liam Scales coming in at full-back.
There has been constant speculation that tonight’s match would be postponed but the SPFL has insisted that it goes ahead while their Board discuss whether to bring forward the start of the winter break.
Earlier this season Celtic beat St Mirren 6-0 with tonight’s match giving the hoops to cut the gap at the top of the Premiership table back down to four points.
CELTIC: Bain; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Scales; Bitton, McGregor, Rogic; Moffat, Abada, Johnston
SUBS: Hazard, Taylor, McCarthy, Shaw, Henderson, Montgomery, Juranovic
