If he’s not out on the itch doing his thing Kyogo Furuhashi simply switches from player to cheerleader and fan!

The man with the most discussed hamstring in Scottish football looked to be his usual chirpy self as he appeared trackside yesterday to wish his team-mates the best of luck against Motherwell yesterday.

According to Ange Postecoglou, if it was upto Kyogo himself he’d have played yesterday but Celtic’s medical team have put his return back 2-3 weeks.

Before and after the match fans discussed when they can expect to see Celtic’s top scorer back in action.

On Saturday night the Daily Record had carried quotes from Ange Postecoglou that the striker could play against Motherwell but after the 1-0 win the Celtic boss was pushing back the timeline with an emphasis on medical opinion.

Discussing that hamstring, Football Scotland reported Postecoglou saying

I could say yes, I could say no. If you ask Kyogo he probably would have played today, if you ask the medical team, they would say he’s out for two or three weeks.

I’m kind of taking a stab in the dark in the middle somewhere, but I’ve no idea. I’ll be guided by the medical team and Kyogo.

Postecoglou will speak to the media tomorrow to preview Wednesday’s match at Ross County with Kyogo’s hamstring likely to be high on the agenda.
