It has been quite a year for Dan Orlowitz, as an English speaker working in the Japanese media he has suddenly found himself as the go-to guy for Celtic fans.Â
Shunsuke Nalamura waved good-bye to Celtic more than a decade ago but all of a sudden Japan has become the centre of transfer activity for the club as they look to create a fresh chapter, moving on from the Invincibles and a Quadruple Treble.Â
Orlowitz has been brilliantly engaging on Twitter, spending plenty of time answering individual questions and never pretending to be In The Know. Happy to give an informed, close up opinion on players that were virtually unknown in Scotland at the start of 2021.Â
?| Celtic fans, here’s all you need to know about the deals to sign Reo Hatate, Diazen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi plus what the Japanese trio will offer…@aishiterutokyo pic.twitter.com/pK44NtphER

Dan has taken part in quite a few Celtic podcasts, on Sky Sports today he came across as genuine and enthusiastic for the three signs that were announced at 11am today.Â
The deals seem like great value with nothing that Orlowitz had to say putting a dampener on the enthusiasm that swept the hoops support today- leaving 2021 in much better shape than it had started.
Great news to have the 3 new Japan players in the door at celtic park hopefully they can bring a new dimension to celtic’s attacking play and push the team on to more success ?
Now all we need is that defence sorted and bring that title home were it belongs.PARADISE.
