Ewan Murray hasn’t reacted well to Celtic fans reminding him that their club didn’t take an interest free 20 year loan from the Scottish Government.
Early last year 11 SPFL Premiership clubs took up the offer of assistance while they coped with Lockdown and a season of empty stadiums.
Quarterly cash flow reports are required to be sent to the Scottish Government with a number of red flags included in the loan with club’s prevented from repaying loans to directors or paying out excessive bonuses.
Celtic, in line with thousands of businesses across the country took up the furlough scheme to retain people in jobs with other business assistance provided.
It seems that splitting the two Glasgow clubs on any issue isn’t the done thing for reporters with the golf expert at the Guardian a keen subscriber to that view. Having been corrected on that issue Murray went down a path that people in glass houses really should avoid.

Hearts fans have a history of throwing things at players and a Celtic manager ( apart from the assault ) and of singing sectarian and racist songs. Indeed the atmosphere there is invariably poisonous when either Celtic or Hibs visit.
