Daizen Maeda has thanked the Celtic support following his stunning debut in the 2-0 win over Hibs.Â
It took the striker just over 200 seconds to make his mark, sweeping a pass from Tom Rogic behind Hibs keeper Matt Macey to open the scoring before racing off to celebrate with the Celtic support.Â
Since his signing was announced on December 31 Celtic fans have been building up a profile of the distinctive striker, last night he wasted no time in delivering the goods to add to expectations.Â
Thank you all for your support tonight!I’m massively happy and looking forward to contributing more.

Despite that early goal it was another new signing, Reo Hatate who picked up the Man of the Match award with a hugely impressive display.Â
Hatate put in a very energetic performance spiced up with some great passing and ab ability to always find time on the ball despite the sometimes frantic pace of the game.Â
The new bhoys now have a little breathing space before Saturday’s Scottish Cup tie at Alloa with a visit to the plastic pitch at the Indodrill Stadium.Â
