‘Some mad PR spin from you’ ‘You blew it again tanner quoting £16 million’ ‘Youve had a nightmare here bud’ wee David Tanner in Twitter meltdown over Patterson porkies

When it comes to making a fool of yourself on Twitter not many folk do it better than wee Davie Tanner. 

The former Hibs TV presenter has a long track record of getting the most basic facts wrong, without his autocue he wasn’t able to tell the difference between Sparta and Slavia Prague. 

Being beaten to the Ibrox hot-seat by Emma Dodds has sent Tanner into uber-staunch move as he goes overboard with his true blue credentials trying to find a way back into the mainstream. 

While Everton and BBC Merseyside report on an undisclosed fee for Nathan Patterson the on-message Ibrox cheerleaders have been falling over themselves to spin the deal into Dembele Dollars territory. 

One Twitter account, Inside The SPFL @agentScotland put out a different set of figures which drew the anger of Grant Smith, agent for the Murray Park starlet. 

Tanner was quick to jump to Smith’s defence, while the agent deleted his reply the former Hibs TV presenter decided to add in the £16m line that even the most staunch cheerleaders have been keen to steer away from. 

Never ever dispute the vague murmurings of a football agent.

Especially one called ‘Smudge’ in a tracky drinking beer and getting in to twitter fights.
