Turkish Delight as talks go on over Morelos’ £5m Ibrox exit

Fenerbahce are reported to be in negotiations for the 6m euro transfer of Alfredo Morelos.

Morelos is halfway through his fifth season at Ibrox with umpteen stories of clubs keeping tabs and preparing to launch bids without anything ever materialising.

Among Fenerbahçe’s scorer candidates, Morelos stands out in terms of age and performance. The 25-year-old Colombian has played 13 goals and 4 assists in 30 games this season. 

Morelos is currently with the Colombian World Cup squad but failed to get listed in the 23-man squad for Friday’s 1-0 home defeat from Peru. 

With a fee of around £5m there is certain to be plenty of spin over add-ons negotiated by Ross Wilson.
