Aaron Ramsey has been dropped by Giovanni van Bronckhorst for tonight’s Europa League tie away to Borussia Dortmund.
The injury prone midfielder started the Scottish Cup win away to Annan on Saturday but has to settle for a place on the bench tonight with Ryan Jack, John Lundstram and Scot Arfield preferred in midfield.
Kris Boyd declared Ramsey as the biggest signing in Scottish football since Paul Gascoigne joined Rangers from Lazio in 1995 but it seems that van Bronckhorst doesn’t share the same level of enthusiasm for the stunning deadline day arrival.
Allan McGregor returns in goals for the Tribute Act with places in defence for Calvin Bassey and Borna Barisic because there are no other options. Kemar Roofe, Fashion Sakala andJon McLaughlin are surprisingly not among the substitutes.
Erling Haaland misses out for Dortmund.
SEVCO: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Bassey, Barisic; Lundstrum, Jack, Arfield; Aribo, Morelos, Kent
SUBS: McCrorie, Hogarth, Diallo, Davis, Ramsey, Kamara, Sands, Wright, King
Who cares
Can’t believe they 2-0 up, that’s an unbelievable result. Hopefully Dortmund turn it around.
