Paul Dalglish took a step back in time as he joined the worst Uber driver ever, his Dad, to take in the Glasgow Derby on Wednesday night.
Born in Glasgow and brought up in Liverpool, the 44-year-old has spent the last decade in the USA working at a number of clubs in coaching and management roles.
As a teen Paul returned to Glasgow as part of Willie McStay’s Celtic youth side but was unable to make the first team breakthrough. He did find first team football at Newcastle but his nomadic playing career featured spells at Hibs, Livingston and Kilmarnock where he was forever compared with you-know-who.
Memories of Glasgow never fade away, under the floodlights with 60,000 fans starved of derby action Celtic Park was the place to be on Wednesday with Ange Postecoglou’s side putting on a display worthy of the setting to move into top spot in the SPFL.
When I lived in the UK I took atmospheres like this for granted. After living abroad for many years I now realize this atmosphere is a result of over 100 years of euphoric highs, devastating lows, passion filled rivalries and tradition poured into 90 min that can’t be replicated. pic.twitter.com/PphV3C17Fp

Wanted to make sure I was COVID free before heading up to Glasgow for the Old Firm game. @CelticFC v @RangersFC is my favorite game to attend. The absolute best atmosphere. Missed them so much. pic.twitter.com/SmfFAn82rN
