Tom Miller seemed to be sedated as he commentated through Wednesday’s Glasgow derby.
‘The Rangers TV’ commentator achieved legendary status during the golden days of Graeme Murty and Pedro Caixinha as his high-pitched delivery was suddenly left deflated by a deluge of goals flying past Wes Foderingham.
Following one spectacular defeat in 2018 t-shirts and mugs appeared with the Hugh Burns catch-phrase of ‘Whit’s the goalie doing Tom’ in honour of one of Moussa Dembele’s Ibrox specials.

Miller’s commentary was as low-key as the performance of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side as he relayed the loss of three goals to loyal bears worldwide who refused to watch the coverage from Sky Sports.
There won’t be any t-shirts or mugs produced on the back of this commentary but the return to the old norm is obvious for all with the action described in funeral-like terms.
Whit’s the toalie daein Tam?
