Cutting edge research by one Ibrox fan has revealed that his club would be on top of the Premiership table if matches only lasted 80 minutes.

It seems that Celtic’s late winner yesterday against Dundee on the back of similar victories against Dundee United and Ross County has broken the resolve of some Ibrox fans.

Steven Gerrard tried the 86-minute league table in 2019 to explain the fine margins by which his side had lost the title to Celtic who had undergone the disruption of a mid season change in manager.

This season the management change has come at Ibrox where Giovanni van Bronckhorst inherited a four point lead in November and a squad apparently filled with ‘tried and tested’ winners.

Those winners achieved their one and only success in matches played behind closed doors, with fans back inside stadiums it seems that the pressure is just too much for James Tavernier & Co to cope with as they ship points while Celtic reel off eight successive wins.
