SFA decide not to take retrospective action against Ryan Jack over brutal Tannadice incident

Ryan Jack will escape retrospective justice for his brutal lunge at Dylan Levitt of Dundee United.

At the very end of Sunday’s match at Tannadice the Ibrox midfielder arrived typically late and planted his studs just below the knee of the United midfielder.

The incident happened in full view of Bobby Madden but in keeping with his style of refereeing Jack avoided any action at the time.

In the last 26 months only one Ibrox player, Ryan Kent, has been sent off by a Scottish referee. Last season with a comfortable lead built up in the SPFL three retrospective red cards were dished out for incidents missed by referees during matches. Alfredo Morelos received two retrospective reds with Kemar Roofe the other.

During 2021 Leon Balogun, Roofe, John Lundstram and Glen Kamara were sent off in UEFA matches, SPFL clubs are reported to be dragging their heels over the introduction of VAR.

Nothing new there RFC that’s the SFA terrible challenge & no action taking could have broken the poor guys legs should have been charged by the police

  • Pan says:

No surprises then from the corrupt SFA.
The only thing that will shake these cowards is court action. For cowards they are, or it may be that they support the establishment club. The lack of fair play is now so obvious.
The SFA and many of their so-called referees are ignoring their responsibilities with regard to duty of care for players.

Scottish football would be better of without Scotlands shame and without the SFA.

Same old same old. Jack a Red Card all day long.
Refs are a disgrace AND they know it.

  • Dave Ramshaw says:

    Usual Orange order cover up.

If a player isn’t dead it’s not a red card for Rangers, even then its not guaranteed.
