Patience has snapped for some Ibrox fans as far as Giovanni van Bronckhorst is concerned.

On Thursday night he was the tactical genius that had steered the Champions of Europe to an unprecedented victory over Borussia Dortmund.

By 5pm on Sunday the first calls for change in the dug-out were being heard with points dropped in the SPFL for the fifth time in eight matches.

Draws at Aberdeen and Ross County preceded a hammering from Celtic despite van Bronckhorst’s claim that after 25 minutes his side took over.

The ageing squad that he inherited wasn’t strengthened in January but Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey added to the wage bill, there were no takers for John Lundstram or Jack Simpson, Cedric Itten had his loan spell cut short.

Joy in the Europa League against Dortmund came at a cost, draws with Dundee United and Motherwell. Had those games been won Celtic wouldn’t be at the top of the Premiership.

On Christmas Day van Bronckhorst had a six point lead at the top of the SPFL, with 10 matches left to play they are three adrift of the hoops with the nice wee guy in the dug-out looking badly out of his comfort zone trying to shore up a defence that has lost 13 goals in the last month.

Hero one day and now they want him ousted…now that’s not very loyal.
Full house stuff clearly doesn’t suit the ranger footy klub

Still points to win and lose celtic need to do lot better hopefully just a blip at present” but today we really could have increased the gap by 5 plus goal difference, I would have thought that would have tied up the leauge”as goal difference is as good as 1 point can we win it yes but celtic and ange will need to dig in and win remainder of games its in our hands now can we deliver ????.
