As he created some space, turned inside the home defenders to curl his shot around Wes Foderingham into the net to the delight of 7,000 Celtic fans Odsonne Edouard couldn’t have quite guessed the significance of his goal. Four years later it is just as relevant.

That goal gave Celtic a 3-2 win, killed off Murty Mania, the fans that cheered being drawn against Celtic in the Scottish Cup were choked into silence. And never again would 7,000 fans celebrate in the Free Broomloan.

Under Brendan Rodgers the Broomloan Road Stand at Ibrox had been turned into a Celtic Party Zone.

Every game The People built up their hopes- every time they were destroyed. Odsonne Edouard was a constant thorn, Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic chipped in as well until things just got too much for the home fans to cope with.

Petitions started, campaigns grew and finally the Ibrox board buckled by reducing Celtic’s ticket allocation to just 800, a move that Celtic have replicated.

Things have now gone a few steps further, after a season behind-closed-doors the away allocations have been completely wiped out.

Eight hundred isn’t really worth the bother, Celtic fans loved the February Derby when James Tavernier and his pals were scared witless, wilting to Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Celtic return to Ibrox in four weeks time, it is unlikely that there will be any away fans at the game as the repercussions of Edouard’s goal and 7,000 celebrating Celtic fans continues to impact on the fixture.
