Robbie Neilson has confirmed that John Souttar has an ankle injury but hasn’t gone into detail about the extent of the blow.Â
The Ibrox-bound defender was one of many Hearts casualties from Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Dundee United.Â
Hearts face St Mirren in a Scottish Cup tie on Saturday night with Souttar looking like missing out.Â
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Neilson said:Â
We’ve managed to get through the season having very few injuries, then all of a sudden we get a number of them within a few days. We don’t have a big squad, but we’ve got a good quality squad so we should be fine.Â
John Souttar has an ankle problem, but I’m not going to go through them all individually because I could be here for an hour talking about wee niggles here or wee injuries there.Â
Souttar has signed a pre-contract agreement to move to Ibrox but not yet a formal contract. Last season he only played four matches as he suffered a third rupture of his Achilles tendon.Â

It is just a pity that Hearts and sevco couldn’t come up with a deal earlier in the transfer window that would have Souttar both klubs.
Off the topic here but the klan on FF are screaming for VAR to be introduced NOW after how the game turned out in their favour last night with the decisions.
But apparently we ain’t going to have VAR in Scotland because Celtic said so.
This way sevco and the racist sectarian fans that follow them get their wish, after all look at all that money they are making in Europe this season.
Opps forgot the CHISLER and Cashley are eyeing that up.
Jesus it’s you from Phil’s page with the rotten BENNYS patter. Worst patter going
Now don’t shoot the messenger here but here is the joke of the weekend, on FF someone has a thread on who exactly is keeping Tavernier out of the England squad.
I ain’t making this up before you know it Clarke Kent will be next for a call up.
Hope its nothing trivial.
Deserves all he gets after his unprovoked physical assault on Kyogo.
